Primobolan (Methenolone): The Expensive One
Primobolan’s reputation costs more than the compound delivers, and knowing that in advance is the most useful thing anyone can tell you about it.
What methenolone is
Primobolan is methenolone, a DHT derivative that does not aromatise. No oestrogen conversion means no water retention, which is why it is grouped with the “dry” compounds alongside masteron.
It is stocked as Primo 100 and Primo 200, the numbers referring to concentration rather than to anything about strength.
The mildness is real
Primobolan is genuinely one of the better tolerated injectables. Low androgenic activity relative to its anabolic rating, no aromatisation, and a side effect profile that most users describe as unremarkable.
That tolerability is the entire appeal, and it is why the compound has the reputation it does among people who prioritise feeling normal over dramatic results.
And the results are modest
Here is the honest part. Primobolan is not going to add much, and it works slowly. Expect gradual, dry, retainable tissue over a long run, not scale movement.
People who arrive expecting the results to match the price are consistently disappointed. The compound is not underperforming; the expectation was wrong.
Why it is expensive and frequently faked
Methenolone is costly to produce, which makes genuine primobolan one of the pricier things in this category, and one of the most commonly counterfeited. Substituting a cheap compound into a primo label is a standard fraud precisely because the margin is so large.
That makes provenance matter more here than almost anywhere else. See spotting counterfeits.
It still suppresses
The “mild enough to run alone” claim attaches itself to primobolan the same way it attaches to anavar, and it is wrong for the same reason. Methenolone suppresses natural production. A testosterone base and a recovery plan both apply.
Where it fits
Primobolan suits a long, unhurried run where tolerability matters more than magnitude, often a cut, alongside a testosterone base, in someone already lean. It is a poor choice for a first cycle on cost grounds alone, and a poor choice for anyone expecting size.
