SerenQ GLP-1 10mg is a long-acting GLP-1 receptor agonist supplied in a sealed, pre-filled injection pen. No reconstitution, no bacteriostatic water, no working out volumes from a concentration. Dial the units on the pen, read them off the window, dispense.
A long-acting GLP-1 analog, pre-dissolved in a graduated pen
SerenQ Pharmaceuticals builds research grade GLP-1 into a sealed, pre-filled injection pen rather than a lyophilised vial with a separate bacteriostatic water ampoule. No reconstitution, no working out volumes from a concentration, no drawing up with a syringe barrel. Dial the units, read them off the window, done.
SerenQ has appointed The Ped Shop as its exclusive UK stockist. Every pen sold here comes direct from the manufacturer, in sealed retail cartons, with a unique serial number and QR authenticity code on the label.
GLP-1
Long-acting analog · Pre-filled Injection PenThird Party Testing
Every SerenQ batch is sent for independent analysis before it goes on general sale. Purity, identity and potency testing for this batch is currently with Analiza, and the certificate will be published on this page the moment it lands.
Check back here for the full certificate, or ask us and we will send it over as soon as it is released.
Serialised & QR Verified
Every SerenQ product carries a unique serial number and a QR code printed on the label. Scan it with any phone camera and you can independently confirm the pen is genuine SerenQ stock and check its batch details before you open the carton.
One code per pen. Each one can only be registered once, so a duplicate scan is an immediate red flag.
About the compound
This compound is a long-acting synthetic analog of the endogenous incretin hormone GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1). It is a 31 amino acid peptide with two deliberate structural modifications: substitution of alanine at position 8 with alpha-aminoisobutyric acid (Aib), which blocks enzymatic cleavage by DPP-4, and a C18 fatty diacid chain attached via a hydrophilic linker at lysine 26, which allows reversible binding to serum albumin.
The clinical significance of those two modifications is that they extend the plasma half-life from approximately 2 minutes for native GLP-1 to around 165 hours (roughly one week) for this analog. That is what makes weekly dosing possible in the research literature, and is the defining pharmacokinetic property that separates it from earlier GLP-1 analogs.
Mechanistically the compound acts as a full agonist at the GLP-1 receptor, which is expressed across several tissues examined in the literature: pancreatic beta cells, where it enhances glucose dependent insulin secretion; alpha cells, where it suppresses glucagon release; gastric smooth muscle, where it delays gastric emptying; and hypothalamic arcuate nucleus neurons, where it modulates satiety signalling. Research applications span glycaemic control, body weight and adiposity, appetite regulation, and cardiovascular outcome models.
The 10mg loading in this pen equates to 200 dial units at 50mcg per unit. The pen is graduated so that 10 units on the dial dispenses 500mcg (0.5mg), giving 20 clean 10 unit draws before the pen runs dry. Sub-unit dosing is possible by dialling smaller increments and reading them off the window.
The pen format
This is where SerenQ does things differently. Instead of a lyophilised vial that has to be reconstituted with bacteriostatic water, calculated for concentration and drawn up with a syringe, the compound arrives pre-dissolved in a stabilised solution and pre-loaded into a graduated injection pen with a dial and a dose window. Every dial setting delivers a consistent, verifiable volume, and every unit on the dial holds the same 50mcg of the active.
- 10mg of the active per pen, pre-dissolved in solution
- 1 unit = 50mcg
- 10 units on the dial gives 500mcg (0.5mg)
- 200 units in total, which works out at 20 full 10 unit draws per pen
- Dial and dose window let you set the exact amount and read it back before dispensing
- 4 screw on pen tips supplied, individually sealed, 32G 0.23 x 4mm
- 4 alcohol swabs supplied
- Protective cap, clip and a rigid retail carton for storage and transport
- Batch number, expiry and serial printed directly on the pen barrel, not just the box
Handling and storage
- Store refrigerated at 2 to 8°C. Do not freeze
- Keep in the outer carton, away from direct light
- Solution should be clear and colourless. Discard if cloudy, discoloured or if particulates are visible
- Short periods at room temperature during transit are expected and normal, though prolonged exposure will degrade potency
- Use a fresh sealed tip for each dispense and dispose of tips in a sharps container
- Expiry 12/2027 on sealed, correctly stored stock
- Keep out of reach of children and animals
