MOTS-c 40mg in a pre-filled SerenQ injection pen. No reconstitution, no bacteriostatic water, no drawing up. Dial the units you need, read them off the window, done.
A new name in research peptides, landing in the UK
SerenQ Pharmaceuticals builds research peptides into sealed, pre-filled injection pens rather than lyophilised vials. No reconstitution, no bacteriostatic water, no guesswork with a syringe barrel. Dial the units you need, read them off the window, done.
SerenQ has appointed The Ped Shop as its exclusive UK stockist. Every pen sold here comes direct from the manufacturer, in sealed retail cartons, with a unique serial number and QR authenticity code on the label.

Third Party Testing
This batch has been independently analysed by Analiza Białek in Wrocław. A sealed pen was pulled from production stock and tested by HPLC. These are the figures that came back, and the full certificate is in the gallery above.

Serialised & QR Verified
Every SerenQ product carries a unique serial number and a QR code printed on the label. Scan it with any phone camera and you can independently confirm the pen is genuine SerenQ stock and check its batch details before you open the carton.
One code per pen. Each one can only be registered once, so a duplicate scan is an immediate red flag.

MOTS-c is a mitochondrial derived peptide, and that is what makes it unusual. It is a sixteen amino acid chain encoded not by nuclear DNA but by a short open reading frame inside the mitochondrial 12S rRNA gene. In other words the instructions for it sit in the mitochondria themselves rather than in the cell nucleus, which is why it is often described in the literature as a signal sent outward from the powerhouse rather than in to it.
Research attention has centred on metabolic regulation. Published work has examined AMPK pathway activation, glucose handling and insulin sensitivity, and the folate cycle, with animal studies reporting effects on metabolic flexibility and exercise capacity that led some researchers to describe it as an exercise mimetic. Circulating levels have also been reported to fall with age, which is the thread running through much of the longevity literature it appears in.
The pen format
This is where SerenQ does things differently. Instead of a lyophilised powder that has to be reconstituted, MOTS-c arrives as a solution already loaded into a graduated injection pen with a dial and a dose window.
- 40mg of MOTS-c per pen, in solution and ready to use
- 1 unit = 133mcg. 15 units on the dial gives 2mg
- 300 units in total, which works out at 20 full 2mg draws per pen
- Dial and dose window let you set the exact amount and read it back before dispensing
- 4 screw on pen tips supplied, individually sealed, 32G 0.23 x 4mm
- Protective cap, clip and a rigid retail carton for storage and transport
- Batch number, expiry and serial printed directly on the pen barrel, not just the box
Handling and storage
- Store refrigerated at 2 to 8°C. Do not freeze
- Keep in the outer carton, away from direct light
- Short periods at room temperature during transit are expected and normal
- Use a fresh sealed tip for each dispense and dispose of tips in a sharps container
- Expiry 12/2027 on sealed, correctly stored stock
- Keep out of reach of children and animals
What is in the box
- 1 × SerenQ MOTS-c 40mg pre-filled injection pen
- 4 × sealed pen tips, 32G 0.23 x 4mm
- Serialised, QR coded retail carton
MOTS-c against NAD+ and the rest
MOTS-c is unusual: it is encoded in mitochondrial DNA rather than nuclear DNA, which is rare enough to be interesting on its own. It behaves as a metabolic signalling peptide rather than as a substrate the cell consumes.
That is a genuinely different proposition from NAD+, which supplies a depleted cofactor directly. One signals; the other refills. They are often discussed together because the outcome people are chasing overlaps, not because the mechanisms do.
It sits between the energy and longevity categories, and the evidence behind it is preclinical, consistent and mechanistically plausible, but not human trial data.
Note the 40mg figure covers the whole cartridge. Comparing that against a 10mg pen of something used at a completely different scale tells you nothing useful about value.
