Cycle Length and Time Off

📅 August 2, 2026 ⏱️ 2 min read ✍️ Team TPS

How long you run and how long you leave between runs decides more about long-term outcomes than which compound you picked.

Why length is constrained

Three separate clocks run at once.

Suppression deepens with time, and recovery gets harder the longer the axis has been offline.

Lipids and blood pressure drift progressively, and the further they drift the longer they take to return. See cholesterol and lipids on cycle.

Liver load is cumulative for orals specifically, which is why they are measured in weeks. See liver support and orals.

The ester constrains it too

A long ester needs weeks to reach steady state, so a short run on boldenone undecylenate spends most of its duration waiting. A short ester reaches useful levels quickly and suits a shorter run.

Matching duration to the ester is basic and frequently ignored. See testosterone esters compared.

Time off is not optional

The common guidance of time off at least equal to time on exists because recovery is not instant. The axis restarting is not the same as it being restored, and lipids need real time to normalise.

Critically, time off starts when the slowest compound has actually cleared, not at the last injection. Sustanon catches people here because its decanoate component outlasts everything else in the blend.

Blast and cruise, honestly

Running a low dose continuously rather than recovering is a decision to stay suppressed indefinitely. It is not a middle ground: natural production does not resume on a cruise, and the longer it continues the less likely full recovery becomes.

People choose it knowingly and that is their call. It should be a decision rather than something arrived at by never quite getting round to recovering.

How to know it worked

Not by feel. LH, FSH and total testosterone, several weeks after recovery finishes. See bloodwork: what to test and PCT explained.
