Serialised & QR Verified
Every SerenQ product carries a unique serial number and a QR code printed on the label. Scan it with any phone camera and you can independently confirm the pen is genuine SerenQ stock and check its batch details before you open the carton.
One code per pen. Each one can only be registered once, so a duplicate scan is an immediate red flag.

Human chorionic gonadotropin is a glycoprotein hormone produced by the placenta in pregnancy. Structurally its beta subunit is close enough to luteinising hormone that it binds and activates the same LH receptor, and that structural accident is the entire basis of its use outside obstetrics.
On the testis, that means HCG acts as an LH substitute. Where exogenous androgens have suppressed the axis and endogenous LH has fallen away, HCG can maintain Leydig cell function and testicular volume without waiting for the hypothalamic signal to return. Its half life is considerably longer than LH, which is why the research protocols space it in days rather than driving it to mimic a natural pulse.
What it does not supply is FSH. Spermatogenesis depends on both signals, so HCG alone maintains the androgen producing side of the testis while leaving the sperm producing side under-driven, which is the gap HMG exists to fill.
This is the same 5000 IU presentation stocked as a pharmaceutical vial, delivered instead as a solution in a graduated pen. The practical difference is that a reconstituted HCG vial commits you to using it within its stability window, whereas the pen is dialled and returned to the fridge.
The pen format
HCG is the compound where the pen format changes the most, because reconstituted HCG has a finite life and a 5000 IU vial is far more than a single research dose. Dialling 250 IU at a time from a sealed pen removes the reconstitution step and the stability clock in one go.

Handling and storage
- Store refrigerated at 2 to 8°C. Do not freeze
- Keep in the outer carton, away from direct light
- Short periods at room temperature during transit are expected and normal
- Use a fresh sealed tip for each dispense and dispose of tips in a sharps container

Choosing between the HCG pen, the HCG vial and HMG
The pen and the pharmaceutical vial contain the same 5000 IU. The vial is cheaper and is a licensed pharmaceutical presentation; the pen costs more and removes reconstitution, the bacteriostatic water, and the pressure to use the material before it degrades. If you are comfortable reconstituting and will get through it, the vial is the rational buy. If a 5000 IU vial routinely outlives its window on you, the pen is the one that stops wasting it.
HMG is not an alternative, it is the other half. HCG covers LH activity and HMG supplies FSH. Where the interest is testicular volume and androgen output, HCG alone covers it. Where the interest is fertility, the literature is fairly consistent that the FSH side cannot be ignored.

However, I feel the injection button mechanism could be improved, as it feels slightly flimsy when pressing down to release the solution. The dial/turning function also feels like it could be made more durable and sturdy. It would be great to see more needle heads included as standard, or alternatively have the option to purchase additional needles directly through your website for convenience. Overall, a good product with some small areas that could be improved to enhance the user experience.
